Eric Essix

Saturday; 1-5PM; Seaside Amphitheater

Eric Essix Eric Essix began recording in the late '80’s and was always dynamic and innovative in his approach to melodic jazz guitar. But it wasn’t till 2000 that he dug in and found his truest heart as an artist – one who was dedicated to exploring the soul, R&B, gospel and country music he grew up listening to in his home state of Alabama. 20 years and 14 solo albums later, he continues to grow and evolve with his latest release Birmingham  (Essential Recordings/EMI) which highlights the city of his birth and the place he now calls home.

Sean Dietrich Trio

Saturday; 1-5PM; Ruskin Place

Sean Dietrich The Sean Dietrich Trio was founded by pianist/vocalist Sean Dietrich, with bassist/guitarist Jim Ates, and drummer/mallet player Steve Ferry. "When the group first played music together, it was almost like having a really stimulating musical conversation, without words." says Dietrich. Music by the trio is performed as a collective effort. Discriminating audiences recognize the trio's music as sensitive, rather than gritty. Dietrich most often chooses to explore the timeless qualities of the standard song, and strives to explore new depths within the familiar music. "I want to take the listeners with me on a musical experience." He says. "I feel it's the trio's duty to connect with each listener on some common level. That's what music is all about isn't it?"

Marc Harris

Saturday; 1-5PM; OBE District

Marc Harris Marc Harris performs constantly around the Southeast and beyond introducing people to his unique sound. His music has been called "Southern Surf" – rock n' roll effected by 60’s country and surf guitar – a little tiki, a little twang. Marc's second CD “Slow Down You’re Here” was released in the spring of 2009.

Harris recently placed a song on "Sunset Tan" on E! TV and had the opportunity to perform his song with the cast in an episode shot outside of Nashville. Marc's voice and guitar echo his experience working with established artists. Harris grew up in Nashville, and in the 90’s worked as a side man to the stars playing venues from Foxboro Stadium to the Fillmore West, as well as performing live on national TV, and being a focal part in Shania Twain's hit music video "No One Needs To Know" from the movie "Twister".
